SUMMARY

Performs routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Cleaning & Maintenance:

Clean lunchrooms, restrooms, sweep, mop, dust, and perform various other functions

Empties trash; sweeps, mops

Cleans offices, restrooms, common areas, floors, other areas as required.

Works with safety as a priority; utilizes good 5S practices.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Must be able to communicate well with others (within the Maintenance Department, as well as with other C&J personnel).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, manufacture’s labels and memos. Ability to communicate daily with maintenance personnel and occasionally with external customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to perform basic addition, including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; regularly uses arms, hands and fingers to operate cleaning tools. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands, climb, kneel, crawl or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

SUMMARY

Tends to the produced product from injection molding machines by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in all production environments including, but not limited to, general white and production cleanrooms. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.

Operation:

*Responsible for production of one or more injection molding machines.

*Monitors general functions of injection molding machines to detect problems with cycle operations and removal of unformed parts, etc.

*Reports defects and malfunctions in process, material, or quality to technical personnel, Supervisor, or Team Leader for correction.

*Reads and understands Router/Work Order, Work Instructions, and Quality Plan for specific operation details, packaging, and quality requirements.

*Performs secondary operations; trims, degates, and packs parts; grinds runners; which may require

operating mechanical equipment.

*Gages and Visually inspects parts for defects; maintains quality production.

*Perform hourly rotation of parts.

*Moves production as required.

*Must pass GMP training to work in Cleanroom Environment; follows Cleanroom rules.

*Reports scrap hourly through IQMS, prints on demand labels through Scan Id.

Miscellaneous:

*Asks questions until all job instructions are comprehended.

*Maintains a clean work place according to 5S standards.

*Maintains safety standards; reports unsafe conditions.

*Performs repetitious operations with a positive attitude.

*Communicates with Supervisor and Production Team leader to determine safe and effective practices to

SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals to calculate production, time worked or gage tolerances.

Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to manipulate or handle objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, sit and walk. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to regularly use hands and arms to push and pull to open and close the molding machine door. The employee is frequently required to bend or twist. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception to be able to see defects in parts.

Works to develop processes to meet specifications of injected molded parts by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.

Sampling:

*Evaluates technical and economic factors to recommend sampling techniques and develop

optimum manufacturing processes to meet design objectives and customer specifications and

improve manufacturing system.

*Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering

design or test problems.

*Develops methods and procedures for testing materials, machines, and systems, and for sampling parts.

*Coordinates designs of experiments, process capability studies, and statistical process control analysis;

resolves process related problems.

*Communicates with Planning and Engineering personnel to ensure efficient production methods.

*Reviews quality issues with supervisory personnel, initiating corrective action.

*Interacts with customers to help develop manufacturing objectives.

*Maintains detailed knowledge of operation of molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

Training:

  *Develops training information for and trains Process Technicians and Setup personnel.

Reviews Tooling:

*Attends tooling, release groom, and layout meetings to offer processing input.

SKILLS:

Four years college or university degree; four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must attain Master Molder I or equivalent.  Continuous education as required to keep current with technology.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures.   Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and vendors in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Must have basic computer skills.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, graphical, or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers for computer keyboard and to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to inspect plastic parts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT  While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, the environment is sometimes hot and humid.
