Vice President of Operations C&J Industries, Inc. is a progressive, diversified injection molder with a focus in medical molding, located in Northwestern Pennsylvania, operating 24/7 with 290 full time employees. Position: Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of managers and departments. S/he is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the program aspects of these department’s performances. S/he is responsible for preparing annual budgets in conjunction with the President and Vice President of Finances. She/he is responsible for ensuring that the company is compliant with all federal, state and city regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements. The VP of Operations will assist the President in planning, organizing, and implementing strategic growth initiatives. Responsibilities: Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to provide effective and inspiring leadership to drive the successful day to day operations of the facility. Implement and lead continuous production improvement process throughout the facility, focusing on systems/process improvement and cost reduction. Plans and directs all aspects of organizations’ molding operational policies, objectives, initiatives. Review established production schedules from all manufacturing departments to insure operation at the highest efficiency possible. Responsible for the attainment of short and long term financial and operational goals. Ensure the continued financial viability of the companies’ sector units through sound fiscal management. Qualifications: 10 years minimum professional experience overall with a minimum of five years of senior leadership experience supervising seasoned staff operating multiple sectors of manufacturing functions. Ability to communicate and promote the philosophy, mission and values of the company to external and internal customers. Ability to travel Strong computer sills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets, use Microsoft Office Products to analyze data and trends. Knowledge of IQMS a plus. Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-s, Lean Manufacturing, etc to drive improvement and progress. Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Management/Operation or other related field. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree Six Sigma, Green or Black Belt Certification
