C&J Industries Announces a $1 million Capital Expansion Project

The scope of the expansion will add 3,200 sq ft of Clean Room manufacturing capacity and will also encompass 1,000 sq ft for a new packaging room, auxiliary equipment room and an enlarged gowning area. The project will increase C&J's clean room molding from 17 to 22 presses; with presses ranging from 20 tons to 390 tons of clamping pressure. C&J Industries also has 18 presses in the general molding room with clamping pressure up to 720 tons to support their business in the Telecommunications, Consumer Products, Business Machine and Industrial market segments.

Along with the Clean Room expansion, C&J also announced the purchase of a Makino Model S56, 3-Axis CNC high speed mill. This new vertical machine center can accommodate a work piece up to 1,100 lbs and is equipped with a Blum laser inspection system and probe to facilitate unattended operation.

The clean room expansion project is expected to be completed by July of 2009.
